Guess who is playing Whitney Houston in her biopic

As many of you know there has been talk of putting together a biopic on Whitney Houston. Now before people freak out and say its too soon after her death to even think about creating this...Whitney was in talks to do her biopic before she passed away. So who should play Whitney in her biopic? Its so hard because Whitney had such a unique voice...I mean she was "The Voice".

I have some ideas and opinions on who I think should play Whitney, and I will also list my reservations on who some other people have suggested.

 Check them out below.

Who will play Whitney Houston?!?!

Jennifer Hudson: I think Jennifer Hudson is a great choice...she is a talented singer and actress. Many people feel that Jennifer's voice isn't up to par to cover Whitney's music. I, however, think she has done a great job covering Whitney Houston in the past, and Jennifer has a there is no doubt about her acting skills. But, Jennifer does seem like too much of a typical choice. Nonetheless, she would be a perfect choice.

Rihanna: For some reason Rihanna's name has been brought up to play Whitney Houston...ummmm yeah. I don't even know why or how people are even entertaining this idea. Rihanna doesn't have the voice to sing Whitney songs, and has anyone seen her act? Ok...lets move on.

Meagan Good: Meagan Good is a very talented actress...she has appeared in numerous movies, but she always seems to be the same type of role. She hasn't really played a role that has had any depth to it. Megan Good was actually in talks with Whitney prior to her death to play the role. Meagan would of course have to lip sync but I don't think she is a bad choice.

Angela Bassett: Angela is prob my #1 choice to play Whitney. Angela played the hell outta of Tina Tuner, she did a bang up job playing Katherine Jackson. This could be the role to get Angela a much deserved Oscar.

Vivica Fox: Vivica was named...but I really have no comment on her playing the role aside from NO!

Bobbi Kristina: There were some talks on Twitter that BK would be the perfect person to play her mother. No, no, no...that wouldn't be a good idea. I think its too soon for her to even consider playing her mother, plus who knows if she can act? Maybe she can play herself...I don't know.

Michelle Williams: Michelle would be another good choice...she definitely has a beautiful voice and she is a great actress (as portrayed in the plays she has been in). Plus Michelle is super thin and looks the most like Whitney. Who can I call to suggest this? Lol

Beyonce: Of course Queen B has been mentioned but sigh...Im just not sold on Beyonce as an actress. While yes she did good in DreamGirls that was a different kind of role than a biopic.  But since Beyonce can sing...and she is Queen B her name will get tossed around. Im just not convinced.

Kerry Washington: Kerry is a beautiful girl and of course her acting skills are on par. Can she sing though? That is the big question. Yes, she can always lip sync but Im not completely sold on Kerry either...but Im sure you wouldn't disappoint if she got picked.

Tamia: Tamia is one of the most underrated singers ever. Its like she is almost always forgotten. She has such a powerful, smooth voice and she's gorgeous. While we don't know if she can act or not, we can always find out.

Brandy: Brandy has proven herself as both a talented actress and singer. While many people think Brandy doesn't have the voice to cover Whitney...Im pretty confident that she can. Brandy does have a emotional side that comes through in her every day life so playing some of Whitney's lowest moments may be tough.

Some other notable actresses would be Taraji Henson, Regina King, Nia Long, Jada Pinkett, or even a new actress that no one has seen before.

Who do you think would make a great choice? Leave your feedback below.

The end of the Breakfast Club is near

The Breakfast Club has been on air for 9 years this month, and is going strong with ratings, engagement, and seems to be adding new markets every month...but I think the end is near.
I sound crazy right? I know you're thinking, Tammy how and why would you think that a successful morning show would have it's future in the balance? Well, there are a couple of reasons, let's go through them. I mean this could all be in my head and I’m projecting, or I could have some legitimate points and the near future will tell.
Shock jock radio value going down- The Breakfast Club has been known for it's shock jock style of radio for years. Charlemagne says the most outlandish things in interviews, creates false narratives that he doesn't even agree with for hot takes, and Envy always goes against the grain and disagrees with the masses on any given topic, just to disagree. Podcasting is huge right now, put five people in a room and at least three of them have a podcast; just at the…

15 Black women that need to host SNL

Saturday Night Live has been around for 45 years this fall and has had a series of hosts, of all ethnicities, ages, and entertainment occupations. They've had hosts that are comedians, actors, singers, rappers, and more. Now, while the diversity has been decent...I would love to see more black women as hosts. I've compiled a list of black women I think would do a damn good job at hosting the late night show. Let's get started shall we...
Tracee Ellis Ross - Tracee is a no brainer and should be at the top of everyone's list when thinking of who should host when they are doing the planning over at NBC. Tracee has perfect comedic timing, which we've seen time and time again on Girlfriends, and now on Black-ish we’ve seen her transform into Rainbow Johnson, and also into the other smaller roles they play when they have episodes within their episodes, if that makes sense. Her personality is playful and fun, which is evident through her Instagram. So, she’s topping this l…

Grown-ish is a far cry from A Different World

When it was announced that Black-ish, the hit ABC sitcom about an affluent African American family doing their best to immerse their kids in the their ethnic culture while still enjoying the fruits of their labor, would be getting a spinoff following the oldest daughter, Zoe Johnson, as she headed to college people were somewhat excited. When it was pegged to be an updated and more current version of the hit series A Different World people were more than excited and the show was highly anticipated. We were expecting to see Zoe navigate life as a college freshmen, out of the sheltered and, low key white bread, lifestyle. We were anticipating seeing her explore more of her life after highschool, then it aired…

Now, don’t get me wrong, I like Grown-ish, I think it’s entertaining, but it’s a far cry from A Different World. I didn’t expect the show that be identical to A Different World, mainly since Zoe wasn’t attending an HBCU, so there’s that, but I think the show is missing the mark on …
