Where is TammyTalks

Where is TammyTalks? I’ve received a number of emails, dms on Twitter, FB messages, and tweets wondering what happened to TammyTalks? Well it’s still here….I’m just switching things up a bit. When I first started blogging, it was more personal, it was more opinionated, but it was hard to get people to want to read a blog about you. LoL. So I switched it up and went completely entertainment news, it became a brand. A lot of people loved it, and a few hated it, but hey that’s life. I began transitioning my blog back to a more personal entitiy, posting my personal opinions on a lot of the hot topics of the world today, and guess what? People loved my commentary!! Go figure, Lol. So in a tactic to shy away from being a cookie cutter entertainment news blog, I'm really going to become TammyTalks. That is to say that, majority of the posts will be my PERSONAL OPINION on that particular topic or event. Some of you are still thinking why the switch though? TammyTalks is successful with just entertainment news, but the truth is I don’t have the time anymore…my work hours switched from Mon thru Sat 7am – 1pm to Mon thru Fri 8am – 5pm. By the time I get to update the hot new story…its old and most people have already heard of it. Lol. But I do understand a lot of people rely on TammyTalks to find out whats  going on in the entertainment biz so I will still post what I find out it just will be sprinkled with my annotations, which most of my fans love anyways. So get ready for the changes to TammyTalks…Im excited, because it can only get better from here. Oh and I am still working on my celebrity interviews….I have some dope ones coming up. Thanks for checking out www.tammytalks.com as always. The end of the Breakfast Club is near

The Breakfast Club has been on air for 9 years this month, and is going strong with ratings, engagement, and seems to be adding new markets every month...but I think the end is near.
I sound crazy right? I know you're thinking, Tammy how and why would you think that a successful morning show would have it's future in the balance? Well, there are a couple of reasons, let's go through them. I mean this could all be in my head and I’m projecting, or I could have some legitimate points and the near future will tell.
Shock jock radio value going down- The Breakfast Club has been known for it's shock jock style of radio for years. Charlemagne says the most outlandish things in interviews, creates false narratives that he doesn't even agree with for hot takes, and Envy always goes against the grain and disagrees with the masses on any given topic, just to disagree. Podcasting is huge right now, put five people in a room and at least three of them have a podcast; just at the…

15 Black women that need to host SNL

Saturday Night Live has been around for 45 years this fall and has had a series of hosts, of all ethnicities, ages, and entertainment occupations. They've had hosts that are comedians, actors, singers, rappers, and more. Now, while the diversity has been decent...I would love to see more black women as hosts. I've compiled a list of black women I think would do a damn good job at hosting the late night show. Let's get started shall we...
Tracee Ellis Ross - Tracee is a no brainer and should be at the top of everyone's list when thinking of who should host when they are doing the planning over at NBC. Tracee has perfect comedic timing, which we've seen time and time again on Girlfriends, and now on Black-ish we’ve seen her transform into Rainbow Johnson, and also into the other smaller roles they play when they have episodes within their episodes, if that makes sense. Her personality is playful and fun, which is evident through her Instagram. So, she’s topping this l…

Grown-ish is a far cry from A Different World

When it was announced that Black-ish, the hit ABC sitcom about an affluent African American family doing their best to immerse their kids in the their ethnic culture while still enjoying the fruits of their labor, would be getting a spinoff following the oldest daughter, Zoe Johnson, as she headed to college people were somewhat excited. When it was pegged to be an updated and more current version of the hit series A Different World people were more than excited and the show was highly anticipated. We were expecting to see Zoe navigate life as a college freshmen, out of the sheltered and, low key white bread, lifestyle. We were anticipating seeing her explore more of her life after highschool, then it aired…

Now, don’t get me wrong, I like Grown-ish, I think it’s entertaining, but it’s a far cry from A Different World. I didn’t expect the show that be identical to A Different World, mainly since Zoe wasn’t attending an HBCU, so there’s that, but I think the show is missing the mark on …
