After only 1 day...TI back in jail

Originally I wasn't going to post about this situation because its so ridiculous to me. TI is back in federal custody, just one day after being released from prison. Why? Because he violated his probation by taking his tour bus, as his means of travel, from prison to the halfway house. Apparently, there is a certain amount of money that can be spent on on travel, and TIs luxury tour bus exceeded the allotted monetary amount. Another huge issue is that TI began filming his NEW reality show right away on the bus. VH1 issued a press release immediately about his new reality show, and the FEDs didn't take too kindly to that. And the final straw is that the FEDs didn't know that TI would be filming his reality show in the halfway house facility. SMH So what happens now? T.I. is incarcerated at the U.S. federal prison in Atlanta and his new release date is September 29. SMH. I personally blame his lawyer for not clearly understanding the terms and conditions of his travel arrangements. What do you think?

The end of the Breakfast Club is near

The Breakfast Club has been on air for 9 years this month, and is going strong with ratings, engagement, and seems to be adding new markets every month...but I think the end is near. I sound crazy right? I know you're thinking, Tammy how and why would you think that a successful morning show would have it's future in the balance? Well, there are a couple of reasons, let's go through them. I mean this could all be in my head and I’m projecting, or I could have some legitimate points and the near future will tell. Shock jock radio value going down - The Breakfast Club has been known for it's shock jock style of radio for years. Charlemagne says the most outlandish things in interviews, creates false narratives that he doesn't even agree with for hot takes, and Envy always goes against the grain and disagrees with the masses on any given topic, just to disagree. Podcasting is huge right now, put five people in a room and at least three of them have a podca

15 Black women that need to host SNL

Saturday Night Live has been around for 45 years this fall and has had a series of hosts, of all ethnicities, ages, and entertainment occupations. They've had hosts that are comedians, actors, singers, rappers, and more. Now, while the diversity has been decent...I would love to see more black women as hosts. I've compiled a list of black women I think would do a damn good job at hosting the late night show. Let's get started shall we... Tracee Ellis Ross  - Tracee is a no brainer and should be at the top of everyone's list when thinking of who should host when they are doing the planning over at NBC. Tracee has perfect comedic timing, which we've seen time and time again on Girlfriends, and now on Black-ish we’ve seen her transform into Rainbow Johnson, and also into the other smaller roles they play when they have episodes within their episodes, if that makes sense. Her personality is playful and fun, which is evident through her Instagram. So, she’s

Grown-ish is a far cry from A Different World

When it was announced that Black- ish ,  the hit ABC sitcom about an affluent African American family doing their best to immerse their kids in the their ethnic culture while still enjoying the fruits of their labor, would be getting a spinoff following the oldest daughter, Zoe Johnson, as she headed to college people were somewhat excited. When it was pegged to be an updated and more current version of the hit series A Different World people were more than excited and the show was highly anticipated. We were expecting to see Zoe navigate life as a college freshmen, out of the sheltered and, low key white bread, lifestyle. We were  anticipating  seeing her explore more of her life after highschool, then it aired… Now, don’t get me wrong, I like Grown- ish , I think it’s entertaining, but it’s a far cry from A Different World. I didn’t expect the show that be identical to A Different World, mainly since Zoe wasn’t attending an HBCU, so there’s that, but I think the show is mis
