Over the years many have argued that the Oscars are not tailored towards African Americans. For instance, prior to Eddie Murphy hosting next years Oscars, the last African-American to host the Oscars was Chris Rock in 2004. Whoopi Goldberg has hosted four Oscars with her last being in 2001. And lets not forget the numerous African American actors and actresses that have been robbed of their Oscar awards, including Angela Bassett in Whats Love Got To Do With It, and Will Smith for Ali. Nonetheless, congrats to Eddie Murphy...Im sure he will do a great job hosting.
