Who are you?
Duch. Writer/ Producer/ Rapper/ Fashion designer and sneakerhead. I'm also the musical face of Eighty8 Clothing

What is your biggest motivation/inspiration?
Alot.... I find inspiration everywhere. Fashion, sports, art, conversations, cars...... My mind be all over the place. I jot down lines all day, kind of like notes, and when I get to music I build off of those thoughts or lines. Depending on situation I get inspired by the music. It's like the music sparks an emotion or idea. I think that's when you create your best work, being inspired by the moment. I just love creating and that in itself motivates or inspires me to do what I do.

When did you first realize you were talented in your craft?
I've been writing and doing music since high school, but I would say when I went to college. Me and a group of friends made a 4 song CD. Some how people on campus got wind of it and the response was crazy. The feeling that it gave me let me know that this was what I was meant to do. I got that same feeling when I dropped "Baggage Claim" last year.

Where can fans see/hear more of your work?
You can find my music at  http://www.datpiff.com/Duch-Baggage-Claim-mixtape.172204.html or www.Reverbnation.com/duch. Follow me on Twitter @everydayduch. You can also find me Eighty8clothing.com.

Why do you refuse to give up?
Because I see the potential in myself.  I believe in myself and my brand so much that quitting isn't a option. I believe that I have something different to offer the world.

The end of the Breakfast Club is near

The Breakfast Club has been on air for 9 years this month, and is going strong with ratings, engagement, and seems to be adding new markets every month...but I think the end is near. I sound crazy right? I know you're thinking, Tammy how and why would you think that a successful morning show would have it's future in the balance? Well, there are a couple of reasons, let's go through them. I mean this could all be in my head and I’m projecting, or I could have some legitimate points and the near future will tell. Shock jock radio value going down - The Breakfast Club has been known for it's shock jock style of radio for years. Charlemagne says the most outlandish things in interviews, creates false narratives that he doesn't even agree with for hot takes, and Envy always goes against the grain and disagrees with the masses on any given topic, just to disagree. Podcasting is huge right now, put five people in a room and at least three of them have a podca

15 Black women that need to host SNL

Saturday Night Live has been around for 45 years this fall and has had a series of hosts, of all ethnicities, ages, and entertainment occupations. They've had hosts that are comedians, actors, singers, rappers, and more. Now, while the diversity has been decent...I would love to see more black women as hosts. I've compiled a list of black women I think would do a damn good job at hosting the late night show. Let's get started shall we... Tracee Ellis Ross  - Tracee is a no brainer and should be at the top of everyone's list when thinking of who should host when they are doing the planning over at NBC. Tracee has perfect comedic timing, which we've seen time and time again on Girlfriends, and now on Black-ish we’ve seen her transform into Rainbow Johnson, and also into the other smaller roles they play when they have episodes within their episodes, if that makes sense. Her personality is playful and fun, which is evident through her Instagram. So, she’s

I’m back!!

After 7 long years I’m back to blogging, thankfully I was able to recover my all of my posts from when I was tammytalks.com; which I’m shocked I was able to even do. So here we are at at phase II of TammyTalks, I'll be taking a different approach this time, less objective entertainment news and gossip and more of my thoughts and opinions on various topics. I want to change the narrative of my blog and move away from so much entertainment news. I’m not interested in being PC this time around, while I’m not looking to be harsh I do want to give my raw, uncut opinion. So what have I been doing the past 7 years that TammyTalks wasn’t around? Well, writing...I’m always writing something, I’m always being creative in some way. I have several ideas for books, and have been working on outlines and tightening up synopses and storylines. So I’m excited about that, an anxious about how that will pan out for 2020. I have two podcasts as well; one with one of my best friends, Real Tv
